"Rockin' and Rollin' Stone!"

Wow! What a weekend! The BD Wrist Rock shoot produced some smoldering hot images....

This was the first "look" of the day. Sequin shorts, a studded muscle T, platform pumps and arms stacked high with Wrist Rocks! It truly looked like something off a cover of Rolling Stones and I couldn't be more excited about the shots we got!

Stay tuned because something very new and exciting is about to be added to my designs! This week will be full of phone calls and decision making in preparation for what is to come with some of my newest work. 

After such an awesome weekend Im ready to kick this week off the right way! Here is the latest!

Makes me wanna start blasting some Steve Perry and whip out my fake "air" mic. Or bust out in Joan Jett's "I Love Rock and Roll." Give me some studs, leather and a Wrist Rock please!

"No Good Girl Piece"

Vamping up more production this week so that I can have the arms of my model jeweled up with as MANY Wrist Rocks as possible!!! This I have learned,  When it comes to a jewelry shoot More is ALWAYS better. 

This piece reminds me of an angel wing because of its aquamarine colored crystal as its center stone. At first glance it seems very girly but then you see the snake like chain wrapping it's way around your wrist and it dawns on you that this is "No Good Girl Piece". So rocker, dark and twisted yet feminine and bright bright bright. Piping hot blinding color...just the way I like it! Rev up those engines folks...spring is on its way!! 

Be sure to check out Marissa Miller's killer blacked out harley davidson ad from 2008 below...If I could have planned a shoot for this particular piece only..this is what comes to mind. As you all know two of my favorite materials are crystal and leather..

"New year, new looks!"

A spankin' new week is here! And with it some photo's to share. Thought I would post my favorite photo's from the first two shoots of the year! BD has started 2013 off with lots of fun new looks!

This is just the beginning! My goal is to shoot quiet a versatile look book for these new and awesome pieces! This weekend I'll be shooting the next round and I cannot wait!

"Let It Never Be Said That Romance Is Dead"

"Let It Never Be Said That Romance Is Dead," the Kaiser Chef's nailed the opening line of their Yours Truly, Angry Mob hit "Ruby." Purple Studs, blood reds, brass chunks...all mixed with fanned marquise shapes. This Wrist Rock ® is the essence of a girly, edgy theme and would be the perfect accessory for Vday. Yes I said it... It's sneaking up on us quickly! A large tear drop stone is its focal point, but I have a feeling that the girl who wears this will not be shedding any of those.
"There is nothing I need but the function to breathe." Take in a deep breath then my friends, Cuz this year is off to a kick A$$ start!

The New BD Website!

Here it is everyone, the "next blog post" which as I previously stated on the BD facebook page, marks the launch of ...ta da! The new website, www.britdesigns.com! After several months of hard work and planning it has finally arrived! For those who have followed my work from the beginning, this website renovation marks the start of something new. As an artist I feel like I have finally found my calling with my new pieces. The new and improved BD website features my latest 25 Shades Wrap Bracelet collection, my new "Wrist Rocks" ®, and my Bridal pieces. I hope you all enjoy it, seeing as it is for you! 

This next piece of mine has a "moon" theme and is for a special someone who made my Christmas extra special this year. It features moon shaped crystals and shards of moonstone, it features intricate nature themed patterns and is probably one of my favorite pieces I have done yet. This wild Wrist Rock ® will certainly take your wrist to a different place :) Don't you want to rock it?

"Shade Of Blue"

What an amazing first week of 2013 it has been... Lots of planning, lots of problem solving...lots of everything.  So many questions that must be answered and must be asked? Marketing research and brainstorming. It looks like some trips to the big apple are in my near future.  It feels like I might be in college again with all the writing and researching I am doing and still have to do. Needless to say, feeling VERY thankful for all the wonderful BD mentors helping me finally hone in on this vision and steer things in the right direction. I truly couldn't do it without them!

The website is REALLY coming together nicely..still looking at a next week upload and I cannot freaking wait!

This next piece of mine was a piece done in oh so many shades of blue and turquoise. The kind of shades that make you melt if you are a blue lover like myself. Charcoals, lime green and lavender accents, Crystal, turquoise, glass, metal, chain, stones, pearls and you named it- STUDS! My latest piece presents itself with a burst of color :)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope 2013 holds lots of new adventures and surprises for you all! 

My holiday break was a busy one...my entire family came into town and i'll just say... We ate, drank and were absolutely merry! It was also a productive one as I moved towards launching a very much improved website that focuses on what I envision for BD in the coming years. (Launching next week)

2013 marks the start of BD embarking on a BIG adventure towards expanding. I can't thank everyone enough for all the support you all continue to give me. On my days where things just sometimes seem to not flow I always look back at comments and inspirational messages I have received from people who follow my work and it never fails to put things into perspective.

"Learning to move toward our goals and desires one step at time- often just one baby step at a time- Learning to love the doing, learning to see the accumulation of time. When we multiply tiny pieces of time with small increments of daily effort. We too will find we can accomplish magnificent things."

On that note- there is only ONE way to start this new year off right and I can't think of a better way then to show off my latest piece!

Hot pink, pearls, brass, swarovski crystal, chain, coral and yes...yes yes yes...those are in fact STUDS!
